The Palmer Community Foundation is thrilled to introduce our new Program Manager, Garie Cowles. Garie has deep roots in the Valley, first moving to Palmer in 1980, and after living in Wasilla for 22 years, she resettled in Palmer in 2023 with a renewed desire to invest in the community she loves.
Garie brings a wealth of local knowledge and a passion for strengthening the bonds between people and the organizations that serve them. Having spent many years in Wasilla, Garie is excited to reconnect with the Palmer community and eager to be involved in making a difference.
At the recent Community Celebration in September, Garie was excited to meet local nonprofits she hadn’t yet discovered, reinforcing her commitment to supporting and collaborating with the incredible organizations that make our community so special. We are excited to have Garie on board and look forward to the energy and dedication she will bring to the Palmer Community Foundation.
